Heat treatment service provider in accordance
With world knowledge and technology

Hararat Saz Pooya Company was established in 1998 after gaining experience and in order to get more development and take steps toward making topics of metallurgy scientifically practical in Iran, aiming to provide heat treatment services in accordance with the facilities and technology of the world.

In persuit of this goal, the company has been developing a considerable amount of quality and quantity. with the development of service and the establishment of an equipped quality lab, for the first time in Iran, a huge step has been taken toward the development of metallurgy industry according to the international standards.

Hopefully we will maintain the path of growth and improvement in metallurgy industry of this country with positive and constant effort.

Services

  • Hardening

Metal hardening processes are used to impart specific mechanical properties to a component in order to render it fit for use.

  • Gas Carburizing

Carburising is a case hardening process that introduces carbon into a solid ferrous alloy. This is accomplished by heating the metal in a carbonaceous atmosphere above transformation temperature for a pre-determined time. Subsequent to carburising, parts are quenched to harden the surface carburising layer. The core remains unaffected.

  • Gas Carbunitriding

Carbonitriding is an austenitic (above A3) case hardening process similar to carburising, with the addition of nitrogen (via NH3 gas), used to increase wear resistance and surface hardness through the creation of a hardened surface layer.

  • Gas Nitro carburizing

Nitrocarburising is a variation of the case hardening process. It is a thermochemical diffusion process where nitrogen, carbon, and to a very small degree, oxygen atoms diffuse into the surface of the steel part, forming a compound layer at the surface, and a diffusion layer. Nitrocarburising is a shallow case variation of the nitriding process. This process is done mainly to provide an anti-wear resistance on the surface layer and to improve fatigue resistance.

  • Gas nitriding

nitriding is a thermochemical case hardening process used to increase wear resistance, surface hardness and fatigue life by dissolution of nitrogen and hard nitride precipitations.

  • Normalizing

Normalising aims to give the steel a uniform and fine-grained structure. The process is used to obtain a predictable microstructure and an assurance of the steel’s mechanical properties.

  • Annealing

Annealing is a heat treatment process which alters the microstructure of a material to change its mechanical or electrical properties. Typically, in steels, annealing is used to reduce hardness, increase ductility and help eliminate internal stresses. Annealing is a generic term and may refer to subcritical, intermediate or full annealing in a variety of atmospheres.

  • Tempering

Tempering is a low temperature (below A1) heat treatment process normally performed after neutral hardening, double hardening, atmospheric carburising, carbonitriding or induction hardening in order to reach a desired hardness/toughness ratio.

  • Stress reliving

Stress relieving is carried out on metal products in order to minimise residual stresses in the structure thereby reducing the risk of dimensional changes during further manufacturing or final use of the component.

  • Austempering

Austempering is a heat treating process for medium-to-high carbon ferrous metals which produces a metallurgical structure called bainite. It is used to increase strength, toughness, and reduce distortion. Parts are heated to the hardening temperature, then cooled rapidly enough to a temperature above the martensite start (Ms) temperature and held for a time sufficient to produce the desired bainite microstructure.

  • Martempering

Martempering is a form of heat treatment applied as an interrupted quench of steels typically in a molten salt bath at a temperature right above the martensite start temperature. The purpose is to delay the cooling for a length of time to equalise the temperature throughout the piece. This will minimise distortion, cracking and residual stress

  • Aging

Ageing is a process used to increase strength by producing precipitates of the alloying material within the metal structure.

  • Solution Annealing

Solution treatment is the heating of an alloy to a suitable temperature, holding it at that temperature long enough to cause one or more constituents to enter into a solid solution and then cooling it rapidly enough to hold these constituents in solution. Subsequent precipitation heat treatments allow controlled release of these constituents either naturally (at room temperature) or artificially (at higher temperatures).

  • Precipitation Hardening

Precipitation heat treatments strengthen materials by allowing the controlled release of constituents to form precipitate clusters which significantly enhance the strength of the component.

  • Homogenizing

This treatment is used prior to hot working processes and is performed to equalise temperatures throughout an alloy or to reduce the coring effect caused by the non-uniform chemical composition.
